A known suspect repeatedly used telephone communication to harass a known victim whom he
used to be in an intimate relationship with. The suspect also is restrained from any
communication with said known victim. The suspect eluded Officers after an attempted traffic
stop. The suspect drove through a red light while eluding Officers. All of this occurred in the
area of St. Mary's Hospital located at 2635 N 7th Street, Grand Junction, Mesa County,
Colorado.

Justin Cooley, 37, was arrested in the 1700 block of North Ave. Cooley made an incendiary
device placing a victim in fear of SBI after entering the property illegally. Cooley’s reckless acts
of attempting to burn the structure placed those inside in danger. Cooley violated multiple
protection orders and active bonds he was currently on by this action. Cooley also attempted to
introduce contraband into the Mesa County Jail when booked in.
