Mesa County Sheriff's Office Deputies, engaged in moving in-custody inmates from the Mesa
County Detention Facility to the Mesa County Justice Center, were assaulted by an in-custody
inmate. Kimberly Owens, age 31, who is currently in MCSO custody, will be charged with 2nd
degree assault on a peace officer.
